Overview To be responsible for the Risk control on the Beverages site to ensure the safe operation of the site through the implementation of the sites SHE Management Systems thereby ensuring that the site remains compliant with Tiger Brands SHE policies, standards, procedures and relevant legislation.
Purpose To be responsible for the Risk control on the Beverages site to ensure the safe operation of the site through the implementation of the sites SHE Management Systems thereby ensuring that the site remains compliant with Tiger Brands SHE policies, standards, procedures and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities • Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial SHE management
• Knowledge of effective approaches, systems and procedures in SHE management
• SHE incident investigation experience
• Knowledge of effective approaches, systems and procedures in SHE management
• Computer Literate – MS Office, Oracle, MS access
Required Experience • Analytical and problem solving ability
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills & service orientated skills
• Planning skills with a high degree of control to complete items quickly and efficiently.
• Fundamental understanding of food processing equipment
• Ability to think strategically & to be able to implement a maintenance strategy
• Good Innovative thinking skills
• Good Knowledge of Risk control programmes and safety programmes.
Technical/Functional Skills • Implement and maintain the international safety and environmental management systems
• Ensure the sites adherence to all SHE related legislation
• Ensure the sites SHE risks are identified and assessed as risk assessment team leader
• Ensure all staff are aware of legal obligations as per requirements
• Ensure that all work is carried out according to SHE policies, standards and procedures by implementing a behavioural based safety program on site
• Establish and participate in the site SHE committee
• Establish the specialized safety related teams
• Supervise and help to equip and train the different specialized SHE groups on site.
• Supply SHE guidance and support to the site and monitor compliance
• Ensure annual SHE targets are met
• Ensure that SHE incident investigations are conducted and follow-up actions completed
• Submit monthly reports.
Minimum Qualifications • B-Tech in Safety and Environmental Management is preferable or related qualification and or experience
Preferred Industry Experience FMCG Industry
